This program provides graduate-level nursing students with hands-on clinical experience in a supportive, patient-centered environment. Participants receive personalized mentorship from experienced psychiatric providers, gain exposure to a variety of psychiatric conditions and treatment approaches, and develop practical skills. Our goal is to equip future psychiatric nurse practitioners with the knowledge, confidence, and experience needed to deliver compassionate, collaborative care to individuals and families.
Students will work alongside experienced psychiatric providers, gaining exposure to diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy.
Training emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for diverse populations in both telehealth and in-person settings.
Our preceptors are dedicated to teaching, guiding, and preparing PMHNP students for successful, independent practice.
